Ps Wilson Lim
Ps. Wilson has preached expository sermons extensively for over 30 years in many nations. He is known for biblically insightful, well-balanced expositions. His sermons are often interesting, thought-provoking and life-impacting. Over many years, he has also taught on various aspects of effective communication and expository preaching. He is the founding and senior pastor of Hope Church in Brisbane, as well as President of HIM. He holds a Masters of Applied Theology.
Ps Simon Eng
Pastor Simon Eng graduated as a Civil Engineer from Melbourne, Australia. In 1992, together with a team, they pioneered Hope Kuching, which continued to flourish to this day. In 2001, Pastor Simon and family moved back to Kuala Lumpur to be the Senior Pastor of Hope Kuala Lumpur. He is married to Pastor Lai Eng and they have 3 wonderful children who are active in their faith as well. A man with a great love to build God’s people, Pastor Simon currently holds the position as an Elder of Hope International Ministries while actively serving in Hope Kuala Lumpur to fulfil God’s Great Commission.
Ps Denis Lu
Pastor Denis Lu is one of the pioneering members of Hope Kuching with Pastor Simon, in 1992. He is currently the Senior Pastor of Hope Kuching and an Elder in HIM. He oversees HIM churches in Borneo, Malaysia. Denis graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1991 from University Newcastle, Australia in 1991. He returned to Kuching, lectured at Stamford College and later became the College’s principal in 1995. He moved on to be an education counsellor for Taylor’s College before entering full-time ministry in September 2001. Denis is married to Pastor Chong Hai Eng, who is also the Senior Manager in the HIM Elders’ Office. They have a son.
Ps James Loke
Ps James Loke graduated in economics and worked in the central bank in Singapore. He then received a sovereign call to serve God in the mission field whence he travelled widely to preach and teach the Word of God. He is based in Singapore, where he serves God with his wife Christine. He oversees HIM churches in Thailand and the Philippines. James believes that God wants His people to know Him well and to have a close relationship with Him and with fellow believers. James desires Christ-followers to be passionate for God, mature in Christ and live pragmatic lives honouring Him.
Ps Prakich Treetasayuth
Pastor Prakich Treetasayuth received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science, majoring in Biochemistry, from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He was awarded a Master’s Degree of Philosophy in Theology from the Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society. After receiving Christ in Hope of Bangkok Church in 1988, he was committed to the church and its ministry in many areas including biblical studies. In 1995, he became a regional pastor and the Head of Publication, in charge of the church’s teaching materials. He was appointed as the Pastor over Student Ministry in 1999 until he relocated to Europe in 2004 in his new role as the Regional Pastor over Hope Europe. God called him back to Thailand in 2021 for an additional role as the General Secretary for Thailand Bible Society. Pastor Prakich is gifted in leadership, word of encouragement and as a shepherd and a teacher.
Ps Lance Wolter
Ps Lance & Belle were married in 2006 while pioneering Hope Church Gold Coast. As time went on they began to also become more and more involved helping with other churches in Australia and missional work (especially in Africa). In late 2018, they both took a leap of faith and relocated to Southern Africa to help churches in that region to become more fruitful in discipleship and the multiplication of churches. They are currently serving over 180 churches in Southern and Eastern Africa as well as churches in Gold Coast, New South Wales and ACT (Australia). Lance and Belle are passionate about pioneering community empowerment and social justice projects for the poorest of the poor. The family is also blessed with two beautiful children, Michael and Hadessah.
Ps Lai Ling
Ps Lai Ling co-founded Hope Church Brisbane and is known for her leadership in intercession and prophetic ministries in HIM and Hope Church. She is also passionate about pastoral care and counselling. She is a certified practicing accountant and holds Diplomas in Biblical Studies & Ministry and Counselling. Lai Ling is happily married to Pastor Wilson, they have three children Paul, Daniel and Deborah.
Ps Hai Eng
Ps Hai Eng is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in both business management and ministry leadership. Graduating from Monash University, Australia with a degree in Business Management, she has amassed over 15 years of experience in the banking industry, specializing in providing loans and customer services to high net worth business clients across various sectors.
For the past three decades, Ps. Hai Eng has dedicated her expertise to ministry in various capacities, from running various local church departments to currently playing more strategic advisory roles in Hope Kuching and Hope Malaysia. In addition to general church operations, finances, and investment, she has also headed Church Building purchase and renovation projects and served as an advisor in others. Additionally, she has played integral governance roles within Hope Malaysia National Council for 26 years, demonstrating her capacity for effective leadership and organizational oversight.
Currently, Ps Hai Eng holds a pivotal position within HIM, spearheading strategic initiatives as Head of the Elders’ Office. Her responsibilities encompass overseeing operations and projects, supporting the Eldership team in various capacities. She longs to see HIM Churches strategically developed and prepared for the end-time harvest.
Ps Hai Eng is married to Ps. Denis, a devoted and God-loving man, and together they have raised their adult son, Azriel.
Ps Laurence Lee
Pastor Laurence Lee serves as Hope Church Kuching’s English Congregation pastor. He graduated from the UK and worked as an electronics engineer in a multinational company in Malaysia. In 2006, he answered God’s call to serve as a full-time pastor. He loves studying the Scriptures and believes in expository preaching.
Ps Joshua Chee
Ps Joshua and Lillian Chee has been in Hope Church since 1997. They are a fun-loving couple and hugely pastoral. Ps Joshua formerly works as an accountant before becoming a full-time church staff. He is now the executive pastor of Hope Church and he oversees our Willawong, St Lucia and Gatton services, church ministries and operations. He is known for his humour and impactful preaching. Lillian works as a pharmacist in Brisbane and serves in the Working Adult and Family Pastoral Ministry. Together, they are passionate about equipping and empowering leaders. They love investing in the next generation and helping people thrive in their spiritual journey. Ps Joshua is an avid sports fan who supports most of the Brisbane teams; Boston Celtics and Manchester United. He enjoys music and reading too. Lillian loves to bake and paint. They are parents to two children (Elise and Ethan) and two dogs (Milo and Lilo).
Valerie Leong
Valerie together with her husband have been leading and overseeing a church for more than 10 years and they nurtured many people to their fullest potential in Christ. She mentored many leaders to pioneer LGs and lead the campus ministry to cultivate a culture of discipleship and evangelism. Currently Valerie works with the church office, overseeing students’ ministry and at the same time being involved in some training coordination roles of Hope International Ministries.
Steven Lee
Steven currently helms the operations of the HIM Global Offices, where he led a dedicated team in overseeing the multifaceted operations of the organisation. His role involves spearheading key functions in Finance, Events, Communications, Human Resources, and Administration. He ensures seamless coordination and efficient management across these diverse areas. His journey in the corporate landscape began as a seasoned Business Analyst, providing invaluable operational and financial insights to business units and senior management. He consistently delivered commercial advice aimed at enhancing overall business performance. Prior to joining HIM Global, he held a pivotal role at Hope Church Brisbane, where he provided leadership and guidance in managing Church operations and facilities. His responsibilities extended to the planning and executing of events for the church and its communities. Additionally, he successfully project-managed the Unidus Community Centre Building Project, ensuring its timely and successful completion. Steven is also a founding member in the establishment of HIM Singapore, his commitment to the organization goes beyond its inception. He currently serves as part of the Church Board, where his responsibilities encompass governance, legal matters, finance, and operations. Simultaneously, he is also involved with the pastoral leadership of the family group, providing spiritual guidance and support. Beyond his professional endeavours, his personal life reflects fulfilment and joy. He is happily married to Sarah, and together cherish the joys of parenting two wonderful boys, Caleb and Jude. This balance between professional excellence and a thriving family life exemplifies his holistic approach to success.
Jason Chia
Jason is one of the Service Coordinators at Hope Church St Lucia, Brisbane. He is currently overseeing the University ministry. Jason is passionate about seeing the next generation love and serve God with wholehearted devotion. He is also excited about equipping leaders and mentors. Jason graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a PhD in Transport Engineering. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Divinity from the Brisbane School of Theology, an affiliated college of the Australian College of Theology. He is married to Ee Laine, and they have an energetic son, Eden.
Sunita Pala
Sunita has been involved with the student ministry at Hope Brisbane for 20 years. She is passionate about making disciples who make more disciples. She enjoys sowing into the next generation, sharing stories from the journey and watching young men and women thrive as leaders for God’s Church. She also enjoys chillax time with family & friends, travel and jigsaw puzzles.
