President’s Message: Staying Healthy & Vibrant

Hi, Hope International Ministries. I’m just so excited to be able to continue to share my heart with you. In July, recently this year, we had our Global Leadership Conference in Kuching. It was an extraordinary experience as we gathered across from all the different nations around the world. It was such an exciting time because the Spirit of God moved, He touched, He ministered to so many of our leaders. Our leaders were also equipped and they really rejoiced when hearing about the good work that God is doing in our very midst. So all of us, we left wanting more. I give a really big thank you to Hope Kuching’s team and our HIM operations team who put in tremendous effort to make this whole thing such an incredible success.

Well, there is more to come because we’re going to have our Global Leadership Conference in Chiang Mai next year from the 2nd to the 6th of May. But it will be a different experience altogether where we can really soak in the faith. We can get the excitement and catch off the momentum amongst our Thai brethren because we’re going to combine and intertwine our Global Leadership Conference with their Thai Camp. It’s going to be really amazing. It’s going to be a unique experience. Now for all the leaders, you can come for the Global Leadership Conference from the 2nd of May. And all the rest of the members, you are invited to come on the 3rd and join in with the Thai Camp. It’s going to be a glorious time together and we look forward to seeing you there.

Now, as a family of churches, we have a really big focus on transforming lives everywhere in this very decade. Now, I believe God wants us to make a bigger difference than we have ever done before. And we can, by His grace.

So, I shared earlier this year in my global message about the importance of small groups in all of our churches. Our small groups are the backbone of our churches. And these small groups can also be used creatively to reach out to people in our community. That’s such a big impact that it can make if we would utilize our small groups to reach out.

I would love to hear some of these stories from you. If you have some stories of what God is doing, as you’ve been creative in using your small groups, please let us know. But also, can I say, just as every small group is so important in the life of our churches, we love to see our small groups being vibrant, being healthy. And one of the key ways that they continue to be healthy and vibrant is when we continue to have new people come into the groups. And that is why it is so important. You continue to reach out. And as new people come in, it will change the dynamics. It will challenge us to continue to adjust, to grow, to mature.

And that is what continues to help the church to grow in amazing ways. So I do want to encourage us, continue to reach out. It will refresh your groups. Also, to compliment, to help you reach out, Peter and I, we have developed a 30-Day Evangelism Challenge. And what it is, is we have produced material, which can be used in your group, in your church, to inspire your members, to equip them and to give them practical opportunities to practice what they have learned. So, and while they practice, it can even actually lead people to Christ. That’s really amazing.

So please look out for it. Check it out. And we will really encourage you to encourage your church to take hold of this because it’s going to help your church. It’s going to help your group. It’s going to help you. It’s a powerful tool and a powerful equipping means to help you. And so I look forward, I really look forward to hearing many more testimonies of you as you reach out in faith to your friends. I’d love to hear what God will do as you step out in faith.

And so may God bless you as we look forward towards the close of this year. I’m believing God. That God will continue to anoint you, to bless you, and to cause you to see what God will do in and through you and your small groups in your church. May God bless all of you.
