Coming back from our time in Bangkok for the Global Leadership Conference 2026 (GLC26), we have all had a bit of time to reflect and be reminded of the extraordinary time we’ve had there. The atmosphere was charged with faith, courage and fresh vision. With about 500 delegates, including more than 150 Thai pastors and leaders, it was truly a magnificent time, only limited by the physical capacity of our venue.
Looking back at the Conference
As Ps Wilson, our HIM President, reflects on the conference, he shares how the theme of the conference is meant to set the tone and propel us forward into 2026. This meant that across the sessions, the delegates were simply encouraged and equipped, whether through the teaching on the Holy Spirit empowerment, whether about breaking through ministry plateaus, about dealing with or navigating personal leadership challenges and advancing missions. Testimonies also poured in from different parts of the world, across multiple generations. It was truly encouraging to see what God has been doing through our church planting efforts in various localities, through different ministries. Each testimony and personal story really showed how ordinary people with an extraordinary God can do extraordinary exploits as He strengthens us.
Now, the leaders also gathered together and had many opportunities to collaborate for greater impact. And through that they discovered shared burdens. They had fresh ideas, and also new opportunities to collaborate together. And through it all, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully; strengthening weary hearts, refreshing the leaders and reigniting passion for the mighty work of God. Ps Wilson adds that this is all because we are believing God that eventually saturate our communities with the gospel, and it doesn’t end here. If you would like to be a part of a gathering like this, our next GLC27 will be taking place in Kuching, Malaysia, in May 2027. So jot it down in your calendars, and we’ll see you there!
Stepping forward to Strengthen to Saturate
With that in mind, Ps Wilson invites us to continue to embrace the theme as we continue into 2026. He mentions that Stregthen to Saturate as a theme for our movement this year is a challenge to all of us, so that we can truly be strengthened personally and corporately in every local church. Strength begins with the unshakeable foundation of God’s word. Therefore, we are all called to build deep. We need to build strong and build on God’s truth. God’s word will anchor our convictions, shape our perspectives and align our hearts with His heart. So this year, let’s continue to dig in deeper and live out faithfully and accurately to God’s word!
At the same time, he also reminds us to continue to fully depend on the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can empower us for supernatural living and for expanding the kingdom of God. Our strength, our strategies, our skills are simply not enough. The Spirit is the one who will strengthen us, who will energise us, and who will send us forth effectively. So we need both the Word and the Spirit. Not one or the other, but both in fullness, both in balance.
It's all about the Balance
There are many believers who lean heavily, perhaps on one or the other. But true strength comes when Scripture, God’s Word and the Spirit works together in us. So, Ps Wilson encourages us to really pursue this balance this year even more. If any of us are strong in the Word, but lacking in the Spirit’s power, why don’t we intentionally seek more of His presence and activity in your life? if any of us are strong or vibrant in the Spirit, but weak in the Word, why not devote ourselves to study, to understanding and obedience? A healthy balance will strengthen you and your local church.
So the stronger you are, the stronger your local church becomes. And the stronger the church, the greater the impact for the Kingdom. We are called to spread the gospel everywhere, to multiply disciples and multiply churches in our localities, our nations, and beyond. So we need to be strengthened in order that we may saturate.
At the end of 2025, God has already expanded us to over 1,300 church localities. Many nations where our churches are in are continuing to multiply and we’re seeing remarkable growth in Mozambique, Uganda, India, and Thailand. God is doing something great, and so Ps Wilson urges us to continue to run with God! Let’s continue to be strengthened wherever we are in order that God may do greater things in and through us. May 2026 be an exceptional year for every one of us.
God bless us all.
