We witnessed how God has been amazing in our lives as over 800 members from our Acts of Christ Church – HIM Bangkok gathered together in Nakornnayok on the weekend of 3-5 December 2022. The camp theme this year was ‘The Transformational Power of God’. The Camp speakers included Pastor Kobchai, Dr Nurot, Dr Kanok, Ps Sirichart and Ps Bowon.
We studied the book of Romans, learning how God’s grace has the power to change us from the inside out to go forth and make Jesus known in the world.
Some highlighted moments are the Sports Day outdoor activities where we held CheerLeading Shows and played several sports e.g. Tug of War, together. We saw a mix of intergenerational team members coming together to have fun and play with excellence despite the hot sun.
On the second day, we held a special workshop as Life Group to reflect upon the transformational power of God and turn them into actions by first exploring the question of how our self-image has been changed once we accepted Christ into our lives as Lord. Then, we moved on to the next activity of thanking each other for the past year. It was an enriching time to be among brothers and sisters who encouraged and lifted each other up on this journey. We were excited to plan how we were going to expand and build up people as a church.
We ended the camp with our party night with costume competition, ACTS God’s Talents where members held creative shows. It was overall a great camp, and we are eager to enter 2023 together.
