On 27 October 2024, Hope Church Brisbane celebrated its 31st Anniversary with the theme ‘Influence’. The day was a vibrant celebration of God’s faithfulness and the church’s continued mission to impact lives for His glory.
The anniversary service began with energetic praise and worship, setting the tone for a joyful and reflective gathering. This was followed by a special segment where members shared personal stories of how God had transformed their lives. As ‘Million Little Miracles’ played softly in the background, their heartfelt testimonies reminded everyone of God’s countless blessings and His power to change lives.
Continuing the theme of transformation, Hope Youth took the stage to present their praise report from the recent Hope Youth Camp with a dynamic video presentation. They highlighted the camp’s impact on young lives, showcasing how God is raising a generation passionate about Him.
The highlight of the service was the sermon by Pastor Wilson, who preached about influencing the world God’s way, drawing lessons from Joseph’s story in Genesis 41. Pastor Wilson emphasized that the key to godly influence lies in humble commitment and yielding to God’s guidance. He shared that as we align ourselves with God’s plans, He grants us favour and opens new doors of opportunity. However, he also reminded the congregation of the importance of discernment—carefully stepping through the doors that align with God’s will while remaining alert to His leading.
The service culminated in the cutting of the 31st-anniversary cake, symbolizing another year of God’s faithfulness over Hope Church. To make the occasion even sweeter, every attendee was treated to delicious cupcakes as a token of celebration.
The day was a powerful reminder of all God has done over the past 31 years and a call to continue influencing the world His way. Praise God for His goodness, faithfulness, and unending grace over Hope Church!
