It was that time of the year for our brothers and sisters from Asia 3 to gather across multiple nations for another powerful A3 Conference 2026. More than just a conference, it was a time of spiritual refreshing, meaningful connections, and renewed vision for God’s Kingdom.
Why more?
The focus this time around was on the theme “There is More”. Now, does this theme provoke any particular question in us? What is it that we want more? Oftentimes, it can be seen as quite a negative thing when we want more. Our human nature tends to make us feel guilty about asking for more in our lives. However, when it comes to asking for more in Christ, things are different.
Paul writes to the Ephesians, saying in chapter 3 that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. Even Jesus says something similar in John 14, that whoever believes in Him will be able to do the works that Jesus had done and even greater things! Our God is a limitless God, who will help us do great things for His Kingdom. The limit only appears in our moments of weakness, when we limit ourselves short of the purpose set for our lives. So asking for more of God is exactly what He wants us to do!
More than a gift
Over the span of four days from 30 May to 2 June, the participants were treated with practical, engaging, and thought-provoking sessions that brought fresh understanding of the Great Commission. Through the teaching sessions, they were able to learn more on disciple-making, evangelism and Kingdom living. This was followed by workshop sessions led by guest speaker Ps Andy, together with HIM elders Ps Simon and Ps Denis, as well as Ps Laurence and Ps Vincent, who were especially valued for the wisdom and insights they shared on the five fold ministry.
These are the areas where we all could stand to ask for more. We may need more strength to answer the Great Commission. We may need more grace for disciple-making. We may need more wisdom when we have opportunities to evangelise to those around us. We will always need more, because it is not by our might nor our strength, but by God’s Spirit that we can do these things! And it is through this same Spirit that we have the gifts of the five-fold ministries to transform and saturate our churches.
Encounters that mean more
Beyond the sessions, the conference once again demonstrated the strength of the A3 family. Whether during meals, fellowship times, or breakout discussions, old friendships were strengthened and new relationships were formed. Many participants expressed joy at connecting with brothers and sisters from different churches and nations, creating a warm atmosphere that felt like a family reunion.
Most importantly, many testified of personal encounters with God. Some experienced renewed passion for evangelism and disciple-making, while others found fresh encouragement and confirmation of God’s calling upon their lives. The worship and ministry times also created space for people to seek God, experience His presence, and respond to what He was speaking to their hearts.
The Hope Kids programme was also a highlight, providing the children with meaningful lessons, engaging activities, and opportunities to learn about the Holy Spirit. In fact, some of the children wished A3 had lasted for two weeks instead of four days, a simple but wonderful reflection of how much they enjoyed the experience.
Always more… in God
As the conference concluded, participants left encouraged, challenged, and inspired to continue pursuing all that God has prepared for them. The message was clear, that no matter where we are in our journey, there is always more in God.
